Why Twitter sent reset password emails to the users??



Twitter sent a message to their users to reset passwords of the accounts being  “Compromised”  but the thing is that email were sent by a mistake.

The notice by emails was sent out to the users on last Monday, prompting many to question if the service had been hacked.

The social network will not say how much users had been affected by this mistake, but Twitter apologized to their users for this inconvenience.

Twitter featured users are specifically targeted from this inconvenience.

The basic thing in the email was to warn users to change their passwords. It was just because account can be hacked by some sites. So, they should change their passwords to prevent their accounts for being hacked.
But it was all about just a mistake, according to the social media’s statement.

Billions of users faced problem while using their accounts Monday’s night. It was the time just before emails were sent from ‘The Twitter Team’ to the users asking them to reset passwords .
A spokesman for the Twitter said that email notices were just sent by unintentionally. It was a fault of system error.

Moreover he said that Twitter is really apologized for this inconvenience.

These all kinds of emails are the tricks of hackers for getting secret information from users specially from featured users of the particular social media website like Twitter or Facebook etc.
The reset email warned users that their accounts might be compromised by the sites which are not associated by Twitter.

It is also stated in the email they have reset password to make safe your account from others to access your account.

The spokesman for the Twitter confirmed about the strength of effected users from email was one percent of less than one percent but the thing is just one percent of the all users are in billions.

Social media said added that all the effected users can use their accounts after updating their passwords.

It was 2nd time that site has ask their users to reset their passwords.
